A Better Step Forward
We work with leading partners and industry experts, including the Leather Working Group
(LWG) and APCO, to ensure our certifications and collaborations meaningfully contribute to
reducing our environmental impact.
Materials
We are committed to using eco-friendly and recycled material components in our production wherever possible while maintaining the quality and comfort that Hush Puppies is known for. This includes Sugar Cane EVA Footbed, environmental glue, and responsibly sourced leather.
Packaging
Our shoe boxes are made with FSC MIX materials and non-toxic inks, and we’re working on how we can reduce the amount of box sizes we use to lessen cardboard usage and carbon freight emissions through sustainable shoe box packaging and working with partners like APCO.
Leather Working Group
We choose leather for its durability, comfort and timeless character. We’re actively increasing the use of leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), of which we are a member. This ensures more leather comes from suppliers who meet strong environmental, ethical, and traceability standards.
